Programme pre-requisite: Rwandan Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education (or its equivalent)

Career Opportunities in Computer Science at the completion of the programme:

For the last several years, computer science graduates with a bachelor’s degree

currently have commanded the second-highest starting salary for

all undergraduates, according to Placement Surveys.

Such positions include:

Research analysts; software developers; applications programmers; systems

programming; software management; computer communications specialists;

system and security administrators; computer field maintenance and sales;

computer science research; computer science lecturing and teaching.

Computer scientists offer expertise in the effective and efficient use of computers for

industry, business, government, research and education.

While these career opportunities have specific technical skills required of students, there are still other career opportunities out there that computer science graduates could take on as their industry is constantly evolving and developing, one could expect to be able to penetrate more industries in the near future.
